Have owned this unit for over four years. Can't comment on price, as I received it as a cast-off from my parents (who didn't really know how to use it.) This little unit has worked consistently for the time I've had it. I'm currently searching for a new machine, simply because my well-meaning family has been hard on it (glass caraffe was dropped, and it incurred other damage.

Pros: Easy to clean-up, produces a fairly dry puck, good coffee (haven't had issues with bitterness, ever), seems to handle my Black & Decker burr grinder's "fine" setting just fine.

Cons: Does not produce an appreciable crema (might be due to the grind size I use, not sure). You MUST steam your milk at the same time as your coffee is being made. Otherwise, you don't have enough steam. Don't get me wrong, this works well. Contrary to one reviewer's comments, you CAN steam from cold milk - I do every morning. You just have a small window to work in.

Solid little machine. Works well, works consistently. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but this makes good coffee.
